Volunteers
“When I
look into the future, I see myself being like one of the doctors at Care
Free: kind, caring, generous, ambitious and driven. You all have set a
standard for me, as a human being and aspiring physician.”
Lauren Kriger, MSU Student Volunteer
We need you. They need you.
CareFree Medical & Dental provides a unique opportunity to serve the
tremendous need of the underinsured in our community. With a list of
more than 5,000 individuals who use CareFree for low cost primary
medical and dental care, scores of caring volunteer providers are needed
every day. You can be part of the hope for these individuals.
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, only 2.3
dentists in Lansing, Michigan serve 41,893 needy individuals. This
shortfall dramatically demonstrates Ingham County’s critical need for
additional dentists and increased access to dental care – particularly
for low-income individuals and families. This is where you can play a
significant role. |
